We did not bundle MP3 and some other audio decoders with FoxOS, you can install them by ''setting''->''Smart Installer'' which will download and install the CODEC's from internet, after that you should be able to.
Because the FoxOS partition is in ext3 format (not fat16, fat32 or ntfs), which Windows doesn't support. That is why FoxOS partition doesn't appear while running Windows, so it's normal.
We have installed most of softwares which are used frequently on FoxOS, if you have any other requirements, please go on ''setting''->''Add/Remove Softwares'' to add or remove your software.
FoxOS is a linux system, the difference between Windows and FoxOS is that all of linux softwares are installed and managed using Packages.
Root is like the Administrator of Windows, and have the right to do most of operations, such as formatting the disk, adding or removing the user etc. So it could be dangerous for normal operations, a little careless operation may damage the entire system. Generally speaking, common operations will not need root privileges. So, for the security of the system, FoxOS doesn't operate as root in default.
This is because the default encoding is different between Windows and FoxOS. You can save the file to ''utf8'' format on Windows, then open it on FoxOS, it will be ok!
This is because the browser Firefox doesn't install flash plug-ins in default, you could download and install it through ''setting''->''Smart Installer'' to selecting ''Adobe-Browser-flash: Firefox browser flash plug-in'', and then follow the detailed steps on the online help documentation.
